Video: Furby 2012 with fur removed

Welcome to Furby Guide!
In the coming weeks follow along as we learn more about the new 2012 Furby from Hasbro. In our first video, we have carefully and successfully removed the skin without any damage to it.

Unlike the original Furby, no cutting is involved. A series of plastic tabs hold the skin to the Furby. A step by step guide will be posted soon.

For now, enjoy our tour of our "naked" Furby.
We think it looks pretty cool.

Furby 2012 Fur and Skin Removal Guide Take Apart Autopsy

Step 1: Remove the two screws to access the batteries

Step 2: Remove the 8 screws surrounding the battery holder

Step 3: Remove the plastic ring which secures the fur to the base

Step 4: Pull up the fur to reveal a thread loop which connects to the tail switch

Step 5: Use a small screw driver to unhook the thread loop

Step 6: With the tail switch loop disconnected, pull down the fur
